TraderBuddy

Terms of Service

Last updated 31 August 2026

Who you are agreeing with

TraderBuddy is provided by Timon Huč, Slovenia. Using the app means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

You must be 18 or older. The app is about money and risk, and it is not built for anyone younger.

What TraderBuddy is — and what it is not

TraderBuddy is an educational and accountability tool. It helps you describe your own trading behavior back to yourself: a trader type from a questionnaire, a roadmap, a daily plan and grade, a journal, and a partner who can see whether you did what you said you would.

It is not financial, investment or trading advice. Nothing in the app — not your trader type, your roadmap, your discipline score, your insights, nor anything your buddy says to you — is a recommendation to buy or sell anything, or an opinion on whether any trade or strategy is suitable for you. We are not a broker, a financial adviser, or a regulated financial institution.

Trading involves risk, and you can lose money. Every decision you make with your own money is yours. You are responsible for your trades and their outcomes, and for deciding whether anything you learn here suits your circumstances. If you need advice, take it from someone licensed to give it.

The app has no connection to your broker and no access to any real trading account. Every number in it is one you typed in yourself, and we cannot verify any of it.

The roadmap lessons are videos made by other people and hosted on YouTube. We choose them and put them in order; we did not make them, we do not control them, and we cannot promise any one of them stays available. Opening a lesson takes you to YouTube, under their terms and Google’s privacy policy.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself, and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into it.

Give us accurate information when you sign up. One account per person.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, then Delete my account. It erases your data straight away and cannot be undone. It also ends your pairing and removes the conversation from your buddy’s side, because the thread belongs to the pairing rather than to either of you.

Your buddy, and how to behave

TraderBuddy pairs you with another person. Treat them the way you would want to be treated. Do not harass, threaten, abuse or deceive them, and do not send them anything unlawful.

Do not use the app to advertise, to recruit people into anything, to solicit money, to promote a signal service or a course, or to give anyone financial advice.

Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorized access to the app or to anyone else's account.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we do not owe a refund for a subscription ended that way.

What you write and upload

Your journal entries, notes, goals, messages and chart screenshots remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.

You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you — to store your content, and to show it to the people it is meant for: you, your buddy, and, in the case of your display name and photo, the traders you may be matched with, since a photo is what a potential match sees. Nothing more. We do not publish your content, sell it, or use it to advertise.

Do not upload anything you do not have the right to upload, and do not upload anything unlawful.

Subscriptions and payment

Parts of TraderBuddy may require a paid subscription. Where they do, the price and what it includes are shown to you before you pay.

Payment is handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see or hold your card details. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel it.

Cancel through Apple, not through us: on your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and pick TraderBuddy. You keep access until the period you have already paid for runs out.

Refunds are Apple's to give under their own policy, because Apple takes the payment and we never hold it. We cannot process one ourselves, but where you are owed something we will back your refund request with Apple.

The service can change

TraderBuddy is actively being built. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn, and we may need to interrupt the service for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

We do not promise the app will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of faults. If something is broken, tell us — that is usually how it gets fixed.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. That includes losses on trades you made while using it.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, you keep every right the law of your country gives you, and nothing in these terms takes those away.

Ending it

You can stop using TraderBuddy at any time, and delete your account from within the app.

We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we have to stop providing the service. Where we end it for reasons that are not your fault, and you have paid for a period you have not used, we will put that right — by supporting a refund request with Apple, who hold the payment.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and we will tell you in the app if the change is significant. Continuing to use the app after that means accepting the new version.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Slovenia, and the courts of Slovenia have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your own country and may bring proceedings there.
